To guide the Institute in its short, medium, and long-term strategic issues, the Institute has formulated a Leadership Conclave every year. Held in December, the Conclave gathers together some of the most eminent thinkers about education from India and around the world, and includes participants from industry, academia, and government. The day-long event includes discussions and the way forward on strategic issues of topmost priority to the Institute. In 2010, the topics for discussions included short-term and long-term thrust areas of research at IITGN, buildings links with industry and academia, and fund-raising strategies.
